ASID provides a service for researchers and students of Australia world-wide by listing details of all Australian studies centres and associations internationally and those of all individual scholars, researchers, teachers and enthusiasts.

ASID is a searchable database. You can search using keywords to find individuals, centres or associations and Australian studies contacts in particular cities or countries. You can also search teaching programs and research interests in specific areas.

To maintain an up-to-date database, ASID depends upon your contributions. To register your details or those of your Centre or Association, please click on 'register' in the left hand panel and follow the prompts.

ASID defines Australian studies broadly. Your centre or unit might not have the words 'Australian studies' in its title but if its work is likely to be of interest for those teaching or researching in any field involving the study of Australian society, history, geography/environment or culture please list your details. Comparative or regional studies are also relevant. The same applies to individual teaching and research fields. ASID is maintained by the Australian Studies Centre at the University of Queensland.
