The Perth Branch of the Australian Society for the Study of Labour History will host the 16th National Biennial Labour History Conference: “Activism, Struggle and Labour History” from 3-5 October, 2019 in the Old Trades Hall Building (now CFMEU Offices), 80 Beaufort Street, Perth.
Abstracts are welcomed on any of the following topics:
The labour movement after the Armistice (1919);
New directions in Labour History (work in prospect/progress papers, new projects);
Insecure work — historicising the ‘gig’ economy;
Radical Culture;
Labour in Politics;
Strikes and Struggles;
Regionalism in Labour History;
Any other topic relevant to labour history.
Papers may focus on countries other than Australia, as well as Australian labour history. Deadline for abstracts: 1 March 2019; Deadline for papers for the refereed stream: 1 May 2019.
